POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the guidance and direction of the HR Recruiting Manager, the HR Specialist-Recruiter is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support and enhance the daily operations and recruiting efforts of the Enterprise HR department.
The ultimate responsibility of the HR Specialist-Recruiter is to organize and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa way.

Organizes and facilitates the onboarding process for new employees.
Coordinates pre-employment screening including drug, background, or other screening as needed.
Process I-9 through E-Verify as required.
Assists with onsite recruiting events/job fairs.
Prepares or updates employment records in the HRIS system related to hiring.
Responsible for processing all new hires' onboarding packets for all the assigned casino resort departments and enterprises.
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Compiles and ensures personnel files and HR records are organized and up to date in both physical and digital.
Assist with maintaining file system and file correspondence and other records.
Communicates with Payroll to provide data for wage payment.
Participate in administrative staff meetings and assist with planning company events.
Knowledgeable in human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards.
Assist the HR Director with projects and assignments as needed.
Ensures compliance with labor regulations.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work efficiently with management and co-workers.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and strong customer service skills.
Ability to take initiative to complete projects, tasks, and assignments to meet deadlines.
Ability to empathize and defuse sensitive or contentious employee issues.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and pass a complete background check to obtain a state gaming license.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
One (1) year experience in Human Resources or related field.
Previous recruiting experience is highly desirable.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
