*Job Summary:*
The Back Office Coordinator is a key role to ensure that patients receive the care they need as well as the administrative duties in the office are completed efficiently and accurately.
This role involves a strong attention to detail to ensure quality checks on each patient receiving care has a smooth and enjoyable experience.
*Supervisory Responsibilities:*
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
*Duties/Responsibilities:*
• Quality assurance checks for all patients having procedures at all locations
• Collaborate with necessary departments to complete quality assurance checks
• Tracks and audits scheduling process
• Updates and creates actions in EMR system to track patient’s progress
• Answers phones as needed
• Reviews clinical documentation
• Upon reviewing schedule, accountable to notify provider/administrative staff when corrections/missing documents are needed
• Assist in retrieving documentation including but not limited to clearances for procedures
• Communicate with medical representatives to schedule advanced cases
• Completes confirmation calls prior to ASC procedure(s)
• Assists and completes verifications of benefits
• Scan/fax documents
• Data entry into spreadsheets for production and compliance monitoring
• Answers patient’s questions regarding care, finances, or insurance
• Expertly versed in ASC procedures, including advanced recommendations
• Collaborate with leadership team(s) for process creation and revision to optimize production of ASCs
• Enters and schedules patients in EMR system as needed
• Reschedules patients in EMR system as needed
• Fill in for ASC FOC for coverage or help with their job duties
• Support all staff with any administrative or scheduling questions/request
• Assists with training new and existing administrative staff on Scheduling processes and updates

*Education and Experience:*
• A High School Diploma or GED with equivalent work experience is required
• EMR experience is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
*Physical Requirements:*
• Requires the effective use of office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, phones, and printers
• Ability to sit at computer terminal for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate in an active office environment
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
