ESSER EDUCATION PROGRAM SPECIALIST Job Location: ESSER (Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief) Section Phoenix Location Posting Details: Salary: $66,000 Grade: 21 Closing Date: 12/10/2023 Job Summary: • This position serves as a Specialist for ADE’s Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER I, II, and III) funds for Local Education Agencies (LEA) grant review, technical assistance, and monitoring.
The position is required to support ADE’s administration and implementation of ESSER I, II, and III funds.
• This position's duties include responsibility for compliance review of ADE’s ESSER I, II, and III LEA grants to ensure budgets only include allowable items that are allocable, reasonable, and necessary in accordance with all ESSER requirements; the implementation of technical assistance for LEAs receiving funds through ESSER I, II and III including developing and providing guidance and trainings for LEAs for the ESSER funds programs; and programmatic monitoring of LEA grantees; collaborating with local, regional, and state community partners; providing effective and positive customer service and support with external and internal constituents; and, assisting with all ESSER Fund LEA data reporting requirements to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Occasional In-state and out-of-state travel may be required for this position.
• The funding for this position will end on 09/30/2024 The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs).
