*Hours: *Monday through Wednesday, 12:30 - 8:30 pm; Thursday, 11:30 - 7:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 - 4:00 pm
*Position Summary:*
The Victim Support Specialist position is an entry-level role, providing essential support to the office-based team in assisting and advocating for diverse survivors of domestic violence and their families.
This position contributes to creating a safe and empowering environment by offering physical, psychological, and emotional assistance.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
· Provide services to clients using the trauma-informed model of care
· Offer person-centered assistance to callers and walk-in clients
· Assist in crisis intervention to callers and walk-in clients; recognizing the uniqueness of each and responding to trauma responses
· Support victims support by answering calls, identifying and assessing needs, and providing general information and community referrals
· Collaborate with the PAC (Preventing Abusive Conduct) Program to assist in coordinating PAC members for groups
· Assist Mobile Victim Advocate Program with incoming referrals and ACP (Adult Confidentiality Program) requests
· Aid in managing office deliveries, donations and other tasks as needed
· Perform other assigned duties as required
*Knowledge, Ability, Experience Requirements:*
· Basic understanding of behavioral health-related fields
· Familiarity or knowledge of domestic violence and the impact of trauma
· Exposure to providing crisis intervention a plus
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
· Effective organizational skills
*Other Requirements:*
· Must be 21 years of age
· Ability to pass fingerprint and background clearance as mandated by Chrysalis and ADHS licensure requirements
· Acquire or maintain CPR and First Aid training certifications as required by Chrysalis policies
· May be required to move equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
