Summary: The Envelope Converter Operator must be able to set up and operate one of the W+D 410 Converters.
An individual fulfilling this role must also possess proven leadership, administrative, and people skills.
This position requires patience and willingness to handle and complete tasks in a timely manner.
As an Envelope Converter Operator, it is essential to produce high-quality, detailed work based on established guidelines and procedures – precision is a must with consistent output.
Responsibilities: Meet with supervisor daily for schedule, job progress, tasks Read job tickets and properly document both counts of product and times that job was produced into the shop floor data system Machine setup and operation: Set and monitor machine calipers to ensure the quality of the finished product Inspect working parts and be able to recognize those that need replacement Source correct materials for the job according to the job ticket Constantly monitor the quality of the finished product Be responsible for general maintenance and lubrication of the machine Assist with housekeeping in the converter area Be thoroughly familiar with all areas of the job finishing sheet Follow all required safety procedures such as PPEs, Ergonomics, Chemical Hazards, etc.
Performs job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees Maintain production charts and records Train new employees Give direction to machine crew through production and downtime Provide leadership as required Provide input to the supervisor for evaluations Follows all company policies and procedures Complete and demonstrate a full understanding of ongoing training concepts and applications In addition to the essential functions and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for: Emulates the Runbeck values in daily interactions with internal and external customers Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments while maintaining regular and timely attendance Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of 2 years working in a production facility, preferably on an envelope converter Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and meets deadlines Good interpersonal and customer contact skills Good written/verbal communication skills Effectively sets priorities Ability to track and report on opportunities for improvement and success Listening effectively when others are speaking Credible, responsive team-player Ability to perform and retain various skill-related tasks, training, and operations 18 years of age (minimum) Physical requirements: Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Frequently stoop, kneel, or bend over Stand for extended periods of time Talk and hear, both in person and by telephone Read and interpret documents in English such as job tickets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Write routine reports and correspondence in English Speak in English effectively before groups of workers Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
