The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law seeks a dynamic individual to support the Dean of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State.
The Executive Assistant to Dean position will provide a wide range of administrative level support, coordination, and liaison functions for the dean’s office, other levels of administration and external stakeholders.
This position will require considerable independence of action and be held to the highest degree of confidentiality pertaining to sensitive materials and information.

Salary Range $60,000 - $70,000 per year; DOE Close Date 12-January-2024 Category 02 Essential Duties The successful candidate will be responsible for and have duties in the following areas: Serves as the primary point of contact on matters pertaining to the dean’s office by the Provost, University, legal community, and other community constituencies Prioritizes incoming issues and determines the appropriate course of action to ensure the most efficient/effective use of the dean’s time Oversees the management of the dean’s calendar, which includes scheduling meeting and constant updating of his/her calendar and obligations Responsible for all facets of travel arrangements for the dean, including flights, hotels, meeting agendas, itineraries, car rentals, etc.
Reviews all receipts for travel and processes expenses through the Concur Travel Reconciles ASU Purchasing Card and ASU Foundation credit card on behalf of the dean Coordinates major activities for the dean in conjunction with Events and Development teams Sets dates and times for ASU Law Faculty Meetings, as well as attend the meeting to take minutes of the meeting for distribution to faculty afterwards Assists with Honor Code documentation and scheduling meetings, as necessary Interacts and maintains liaison with students, faculty, staff and outside/community agencies and represent ASU Law at respective meetings Proofs and processes letters and correspondence for the dean Exercises sound judgement in decision-making and the foresight to anticipate, recognize and resolve issues for the dean Physical presence at the workplace is an essential function or requirement of this job Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of ASU Law and/or ASU Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, education or related field and five (5) years of related work experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of administrative policies and procedures as applied to public higher education academic institutions.
Demonstrated knowledge of university organizational structure.
Demonstrated knowledge of management and supervisory principles and practices.
Experience in making administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
Experience in understanding and interpretating University and Arizona Board of Regents policies.
Experience in establishing priorities and organizing resources.
Evidence of effective communication skills.
Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Experience in analyzing and comprehending complex issues.
Experience in coordinating and organizing meetings and/or special events.
Working Environment Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
Use standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor and mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology.
