Who We Need
The Office Assistant provides administrative and clerical support at an assigned site.
Conducts daily responsibilities under the supervision of the Office Manager and works to support the facility professional medical staff and case management staff according to the direction of the Office Manager.
Office Assistant activities are aimed at supporting the organization in maintaining or improving its clinical operation and its patient care outcomes.
The Office Assistant must possess the ability to function efficiently in group settings providing administrative support to clinical staff and collaborating with various levels of leadership and disciplines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED.
One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in office clerical setting.
Medical and/or Behavioral health experience preferred.
Proficiency in typing, using computer software, i.
e.
, EHR/EMR systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Internet is essential.
Must complete training and demonstrate competence in Integrated Care skills.
Must have demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office applications.
Satisfactory work records as determined by the People 1st
Successfully completes a pre-employment drug screening.
Complete all on-boarding paperwork, in a timely manner and be cleared to attend New Employee Orientation (NEO), as scheduled.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and any other required background checks.
Ability to meet Copa’s driver authorized driving requirements, set forth by Copa Health’s insurance company.
Including AZ Driver’s license upon hire, 39-month MVR, proof of insurance and vehicle registration, if applicable.
Bi-Lingual, preferred.
JOB SUMMARY (Including, but not limited to)
Schedule member's appointments, ensures service tickets are in order.
Collects and validates insurance information.
Records no-show and appointment changes.
Creates and maintains member charts.
Compiles clinical information as requested.
Collects, monitors, scans, and enters data/information into the electronic health records or as assigned.
As receptionist greets, receives, and escorts participants to appointments as needed.
Handles matters as directed.
Maintains communications with the staff.
Completes reminder calls to the participants regarding their appointments.
To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department, consistent with Copa Health productivity levels
