00/hour Our Position The Medical Assistant position is responsible for obtaining patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative tasks, preparing treatment rooms for examinations and assisting practitioners during medical procedures.
The Medical Assistant position is also responsible for assisting with administrative duties as needed.

Coordinates the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance.
Prepares treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assists practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
Delivers compassionate support, attention and assistance to patients and families.
Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Prepares and administers medications for patients as directed by physicians.
Completes clinical documentation as required.
Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all RI International policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Performs other related duties assigned.

Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology and appropriate clinical pharmacology.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a medical setting.
Medical Assistant Certification required.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience with electronic health record systems.
Ability to demonstrate close attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
Must have a valid driver license and be 18 years of age.
Must have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 20lbs.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication, with particular emphasis during telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
We are a Second-Chance Employer Must be able to pass a seven-year background check.
Must be able to pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculous testing (if applicable).
Must be able to pass education verification check.
Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
