When it was launched in 2005 the BR01 line became such a success that it is the first watch that comes to mind when mentioning Bell & Ross.
Inspired by the gauges in vintage airplane cockpits the BR01 could be bolted into an instrument panel and fit right in.
This incredibly distinctive watch measures a substantial 46mm x 46mm.
Its square PVD coated stainless steel case draws attention to its round dial, enclosed in a sapphire crystal.
Two rather blunt sword hands tell the hour and minutes, while a slender sweep hand manages the seconds.
The front of the watch is rose gold, which is very striking on such a large watch.
With Arabic numbers at the poles and a wide-open dial the BR01 does what it set out to be, a watch so easy to read that any pilot at any time in history would be glad to have it.
There is about $1,800 worth of 18k gold on this watch alone.
Condition
The watch is in fair condition.
As seen in the photos there are scratches at the bottom of the bezel by the 6 o’clock marker.
I also got a photo of a very light hairline scratch on the crystal by 6 o’clock.
The lugs also have wear on the outer edges.
Please see all photos for complete condition and feel free to ask for more if you are serious about purchasing this piece.
The watch still keeps time as it should
