DATABASE DEVELOPER AND ADMINISTRATOR Job Location: Address: 1300 W.
Washington, Phoenix AZ 85007 Remote hybrid and flexible scheduling available Posting Details: Salary: $75,000 - $82,000 Grade: 25 Job Summary: The IT Division provides network, hardware, help desk, project management, and application development services to in support of the mission of the Corporation Commission.
We are responsible for applications used internally and by the public to access information and services.
Job Duties: You will be responsible for building and developing database objects and the database environments.
You will translate systems and program requirements into coded computer instructions, then test and debug that database code.
This involves maintaining and analyzing architecture, scripting database artifacts and effective reporting against data; database migration and maintenance; and documentation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): - Strong understanding of Microsoft data ecosystem: T-SQL programming, SQL Server 2014 and greater; SQL SSIS / SSRS; and PowerBI reporting.
- Development skills with MS Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, PowerBI.
- Familiarity with database access methods and LINQ queries in C# under .
NET.
- Ability to develop and test stored procedures, views, functions and scripts, anticipating risks and performance, providing mitigation in the moment.
- Effective working both independently and collectively, remaining open to others’ ideas and adapting to change.
- Ability to translate users’ needs into a sound database design with tables, fields and relationships documented.
- Skills necessary to assist developers in troubleshooting the cause of SQL and/or application failures.
