Entertainment Partners is seeking an Intern Software Engineer to assist the EP engineering teams in creating secure and reliable software solutions.
This role provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a professional environment, gain hands-on experience, and understand the day-to-day workings of a software development team.
The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with senior, lead or principal software engineers to design, develop and maintain software components and products that support business applications.
The candidate must also be able to learn complex relational database models, and work within an established multi-tier application framework.
You’ll work alongside the some of the best engineering talent in the valley.
You’ll have an opportunity to do a facet of activities including development, design, document, API platform, QA, front end/back end.
We’re looking for ambitious, excited, curious and collaborative candidates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop and maintain new and existing software features.
Document, debug and test code.
Collaborate with senior leaders and team members.
Assist team in approaching problems and creating solutions.
Participate in daily scrum and other sprint ceremonies.
Contribute in many aspects of the product life cycle: solution design, documentation, implementation, and testing.
Learn about software development practices and contribute to real projects.
Learn industry best practices, agile methodologies, and user-centric design principles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Degree in Computer Science or equivalent software engineering degree Familiarity with object-oriented programming and functional programming.
Experience in one or more of NodeJS, JavaScript, Java, React, Redux, HTML, CSS, DynamoDB, AWS.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting.
Ability to solve problems, ability to debug and troubleshoot complex software and identify solution options and alternatives.
Knowledge of Source Control (Check in, Merge, Branch).
Experience in a SOA Architecture environment (SOAP, REST).
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in operating office and technological equipment and software.
Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers.
Ability to work independently and meet managerial goals.
Ability to organize daily activities of self and others and to work as a team player.
Motivated to learn new technologies and frameworks.
The hourly rate for this position is $18.
50 and will be commensurate with experience related to the position.
