BUSINESS ANALYST Job Location: Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) 1789 West Jefferson Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85007 Posting Details: Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Grade: 24 Closing Date: April 5, 2024 Job Summary: The DES, Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Business Analyst with the Systems and Automation Administration (SAA).
This position is responsible for analyzing various types of data and documentation for reporting in non-technical language, and coordinates work/assignments and other documents as needed for projects.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Develop and execute comprehensive system test plans, conditions, test scripts, and test cases; provide functional expertise to developers during the design and construction phases of projects.
- Configure software and business processes on adopted development platforms; develop, implement and configure necessary Divisional document/communication content/systems.
- Translate requirements into business, functional and use case documents for IT projects; gather and document business requirements for projects.
- Act as primary liaison between the Information Technology department and internal business units and external agencies; support the organization’s key business processes and applications.
- Maintain business systems standards by applying project management methods, tools and processes as standard practice.
- Create and deliver related user documentation and end-user training.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge in: - Principles of problem-solving processes, with an emphasis on project management and effective planning.
- Principles and techniques of automated information systems analysis, design, modification, and implementation.
- Applicable legislation, rules, regulations, standards, policies, procedures, resources and priorities.
- Agile practices, terms and methods; systems such as OnBase, Atlas Mainframe, Eloquence, AZCares, or Salesforce.
Skills in: - Researching, analyzing and testing system modifications and enhancements to determine appropriate system functionality.
- Facilitating work-groups and teams to collaborate with programmers and customers to develop system or operational process modifications.
- Participating in or facilitating business process improvement projects.
Ability to: - Identify and analyze systematic problems and determine effective solutions.
- Express ideas and information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Effectively plan, organize, and manage time.
Selective Preference(s): The ideal candidate for this position will have: - Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of experience in business analysis (or equivalent experience).
PMI certification/LEAN or Six-sigma certification a plus.

The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement.
You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
