56th Street, Chandler AZ with occasional requirement to travel to a retail store.
*Schedule: The normal schedule will be daytime hours, but will occasionally be required to work evening, night or early morning hours for application or file updates, store conversions or remodels, and other off hour work to support the retail stores.
Will be on a rotating on-call schedule for off hours calls.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: Do you have experience supporting retail locations? Do you have experience providing (both software and hardware) technical support for POS (Point of Sale) applications (primarily NCR Emerald), including cloud-based apps, local servers, POS lanes and peripherals? Do you understand and follow security standards and requirements? Do you have experience with peripherals that include: POS lane controllers, receipt printers, scanner/scales, hand scanners, touch screen monitors, customer monitors, payment terminals, cash drawers, and asst.
cables? Do you have experience with NCR Connected Payments application? Have you provided technical support for other hardware which includes the following items: Time Clocks, Counter Scales, Wireless Handhelds, and Hard Drive Images? Can you support the following technical processes: • Review and understand system logs (both application and Windows) • Create & modify PowerShell/Bash scripts • Perform application updates • Perform other updates (files, folders, etc.
) • Run, modify, and execute SQL scripts • Troubleshoot and resolve issues • Understanding concept and usage of REST APIs • Working knowledge of tools like POSTMAN for API testing • Understanding of ETL tool Boomi • Working Knowledge of MS Office, O365, Teams, and JIRA If so, please apply :) POSITION PURPOSE The Associate Software Engineer is responsible for analyzing moderate and multifaceted application systems that cross multiple technical environments.
The role’s purpose is to possess and apply developing knowledge of business operating procedures, functionality and the potential impact on other systems or business units.
This job classification requires basic knowledge of design principles, structured programming techniques and software development life cycle.
Responsibilities may include assisting in project planning and performing technical activities of the team but will typically never involve leading the technical aspects of the project team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES *Assists with a variety of tasks associated with IT systems analysis, design, development, installation, implementation, procurement or technical support duties in connection with IT systems.
*Applies a basic level of logic and reason to identify and solve moderately complex, multi-faceted IT and business problems.
*Assists on the basic technical aspects of moderately complex IT projects for systems solutions, using analytical tools.
Provides basic technical analysis and contributes to overall project quality.
Conducts some of the basic software coding, testing, debugging and documentation with assigned team.
*Assists with providing on-going support of existing systems through change analysis and problem resolution.
*Applies appropriate principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
May participate with other senior engineers in creating the Request for Information and Request for Proposal documentation with the client.

in Computer Science or related subject or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: SKILLS and ABILITIES Basic knowledge of one of the main SDLC Models including but not limited to Agile, Waterfall and Iterative.
Basic knowledge of one or more of the following: SQL (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres) Programming skills (Java, C#, C++, Objective-C, C, ABAP) Scripting (bash, Javascript, Powershell, Perl, Python, Groovy) Basic knowledge of DevOps development and Cloud technologies Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Current knowledge and application of technology trends Additional Skills: Ability to communicate both written and verbally with coworkers and customers.
