UX Designer II

Under general direction, the UX Designer II designs and prototypes user experience applications (Web, POS, etc.
) that focus on simplicity, ease of use and overall user experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Creates design documentation, including, but not limited to, wireframes, user flows, information architecture, site maps, functional specifications and requirements, functional prototypes and research Utilizes previously defined company guidelines/ best practices to improve user interfaces and interaction styles to support enhanced user productivity Evaluates and interprets analytics to identify user behavior; provides data-based recommendations for improved user experience Conducts usability and prototype studies through the use of A/B testing to inform design decisions Collaborates with Sr UX Designer and Omni Channel stakeholders to solicit ideas, information and feedback in order to develop prototypes to reach targeted audiences Supports strategies to increase engagement and interaction Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to user design methodologies and processes, procedures and services Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service Other duties as assigned Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of three years progressive experience designing usable interfaces and interactions, preferably in a large multi-site organization; retail experience is a plus.
Understands how visual and interactive design work together to create a superior product.
Experience with consumer web-based products is necessary; experience with Mobile App Technology is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Jive, Sketch and prototyping software (proto.
i) is required.
Familiarity with front end web markup and scripting, including HTML and CSS is preferred.
Knowledge of programming, development environments, versioning software and markup is beneficial.
Understanding of qualitative and quantitative user research and usability testing is necessary.
Proven organizational, strategic problem-solving and decision-making skills in the field of design are vital.
User testing experience is preferred.
The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
Ability to extract ideas from key stakeholders, listen to new ideas and support the team’s business objectives is vital.
Experience working in an agile environment is preferred.
Ability to work in a team environment with a positive demeanor and collaborate constructively to generate the best possible solutions to design challenges.
In addition, troubleshooting and organizational skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect, and upholding Company values are key attributes.
Educational Requirements: This position requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in web design, HCI, IT, digital culture or a related field is preferred.
Work Days: Normal work days are Monday through Friday.
Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.
Work Hours: Normal work hours are 8:00 a.
m.
to 5:00 p.
m.
Occasional overtime (more than forty hours per week) may be necessary.
