We are only considering candidates already living in (or willing to relocate to) the Greater Phoenix Metro Area.
This is an in-office position.
We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
However, we are not able to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa at this time.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at OpenTech Alliance you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our products/services.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to establish and implement effective quality control processes.
Your expertise in testing methodologies and attention to detail will drive the delivery of superior-quality products, contributing to the overall success and satisfaction of our customers Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with the product and development teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing on various platforms and environments.
Identify and report software defects and inconsistencies, providing detailed information to facilitate efficient resolution.
Test Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to optimize the testing process and enhance testing efficiency.
Continuously improve and expand the automated testing framework to cover new features and functionalities.
Test Documentation: Document test procedures, results, and defects in a clear and organized manner.
Prepare comprehensive test reports to communicate findings and status to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives, suggesting best practices and innovative approaches to enhance product quality.
Participate in post-mortem reviews and root cause analysis to address and prevent future issues.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth testing and release process.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on testing progress and results.
Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of the products and services offered by the company to provide valuable insights during testing.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role in software development or related industry.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in test automation using industry-standard frameworks (e.
g.
, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
Familiarity with programming languages (e.
g.
, Java, Python, C++) to create and maintain automated test scripts.
Understanding of agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications (Not mandatory, but advantageous): ISTQB or similar certification in software testing.
Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, or cloud-based services.
Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques (e.
g.
, JMeter, LoadRunner).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.
g.
, Git) and issue tracking tools (e.
g.
, Jira).
