*REAL TIME CONSULTING (An RTCo Company)—POSITION DESCRIPTION* *JOB TITLE: Software Engineer – Display Platform* *ABOUT THE JOB:* Be part of a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex software functions.
You will be instrumental in helping the team supporting Next Generation Avionics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Display Platform software that is required to support platform configurability and scalability for Part 23 Class 1 / 2, Part 23 Class 3 / 4, and Part 25 aircraft.
*REQUIRED SKILLS:* * Software development lifecycle understanding * Software architecture design experience * Embedded coding experience * Software/Module Integration experience * Requirements-based software test case development experience * Software configuration management and change management practice knowledge * Programming Languages: C, C++, and Python * Graphics Programming and Drivers: Vulkan or Open GL ES experience * Experience implementing the OpenGL ES API * Expertise with RTOS and complex platform design, partitioning, and optimization (DEOS required and understanding and/or experience with ARINC 653 RTOS specification) * Expertise in design of power-up sequences * Proficiency in software monitor and built-in-test design * Strong experience in working with ARM Processors and/or any System-on-Chip (SoC) * Computer Science fundamentals: Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Management, Network Management, Boot/PAL, CPU/GPU, Schedulers and Threads/Processes * Object oriented software development experience * Multithreading/Multicore processing experience * Touch and gesture development experience * Firmware and driver development experience * Working knowledge of low-level graphics drivers * Working knowledge of SCADE suite and widget library * Working knowledge of software to support formal qualification of hardware * Working knowledge of robust and safe implementations for safety critical systems * High degree of creativity and latitude * Strong analytical skills * Effective communicator * Diverse and global teaming and collaboration * Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events *PREFERRED SKILLS:* * Bachelor’s degree in computer or software engineering * Understanding of DO-178C *ABOUT THE COMPANY:* Real Time Consulting (RTC) exists to partner outstanding engineering talent to support our clients’ success.
