Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Senior Embedded Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems design, with particular expertise in firmware development, smart home/IOT integrations, as well as PCB design and electrical engineering.
The Embedded Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing embedded systems for various applications, contributing to the design, implementation, and testing phases of projects.
Key Responsibilities: * Design and develop embedded systems solutions for specific applications or products.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
* Design and layout PCBs for embedded systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
* Conduct schematic capture, PCB layout, and routing using industry-standard tools (e.
g.
, Altium Designer, Eagle).
* Perform circuit design and analysis, including schematic capture, simulation, and prototyping.
* Select appropriate components and materials for embedded systems, considering performance, cost, and availability.
* Develop firmware/software for microcontrollers and embedded systems, including device drivers, communication protocols, and real-time operating systems.
* Conduct integration testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and performance of embedded systems.
* Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, including engineers and technicians.
* Stay up-to-date with advancements in embedded systems technology and industry trends.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
* Proficiency in PCB design and layout using tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar.
* Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and signal integrity.
* Experience with microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems (e.
g.
, ARM Cortex, PIC, AVR).
* Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems development (e.
g.
, C, C++, Python).
* Familiarity with communication protocols (e.
g.
, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, USB).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) design and development.
* Knowledge of wireless communication technologies (e.
g.
, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RFID, UWB - the latter a big plus!).
* Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies (e.

, version control, Agile/Scrum).
* Experience with regulatory compliance standards (e.
