Job Description: We are seeking an experienced, resourceful, innovative, analytical, driven Supply Chain Engineer to improve our supply chain operations.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in manufacturing, raw materials, machining and processing with a focus on supply chain quality, efficiency, and materials cost.
The Supply Chain Engineer will have both strategic and operational responsibilities, forging connections with internal business units, bill of materials (BOMs), services, and supplier equivalents, to oversee supply chain flow, supplier technical performance, and BOM design commonality across product BOMs.
The Supply Chain Engineer will analyze supply chain procedures, recommend and implement improvements, and determine and oversee supply chain indicators.
Qualifications: Undergrad degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Sciences with 5+ years of direct work in a supply chain capacity or with suppliers to drive cost savings and efficiencies.
Masters in Engineering with 3+ years of direct work in a supply chain capacity or with suppliers to drive cost savings and efficiencies.
Experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or Semiconductor industries preferred.
Expertise in raw materials (metals, machining, plating, etc), inventory management, and continuous improvement.
Advanced proficiency in industry-related supply chain management software and tools.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain analytics and KPI measurements.
Strong collaboration, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Thought leader who can innovate, educate, and influence, while also exhibit an ability to listen, learn, and apply new skills.
Assertive with an innate ability to think strategically or tactically problem-solve to lead initiatives and teams to a successful close in an ambiguous and distributed environment.
Entrepreneurial ownership approach, adapting to ambiguity and open to change by shifting priorities, playing any number of roles, and enlisting help as needed to achieve the target state.
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present applicable research, reports, and specs.
Extensive experience in supply chain analysis, optimization, creating and leveraging master data to land solutions to complex challenges and opportunities.
Advanced analytical skills and an ability to express technical concepts, both written and verbal.
Proven ability to create and leverage systems (PowerBI, etc) to analyze and present trends.
Detail-oriented, proficient at data collection, analysis, presentation, and planning.
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with external suppliers and internal customers to logically present information.
Effective upward and outward communication across all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
Self-motivated and accountable to thrive independently or as part of a team in a remote work setting.
Ability to adequately respond to inquiries or complaints with sound reasoning and articulation, listening, educating, and presenting information in a relatable manner.
Key Responsibilities (not a complete list): Develop and implement supply chain and supplier strategies that align with business objectives.
Create and maintain quality system documentation and master data.
Develop, oversee, maintain, and report the supplier audit and performance program and actively participate in selections and negotiations to ensure that technical requirements are represented, understood, and adhered to.
Collect and interpret analytical and performance data to determine supply chain KPIs.
Oversee supplier quality control from both the product spec and supply chain flow.
Lead and educate systemic problem-solving to surface causes and actions.
Evaluate, recommend, create, and update existing supply chain processes and practices to identify areas that need optimization and/or rigor to accommodate new or changing business demands, policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
Drive enterprise supply chain procedures, including inventory management, warehousing, automation, systems integration, and distribution.
Create, analyze, and monitor data and market trends to surface risk and identify opportunity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery of the right materials, at the right time, at the right place, at the right location.
Audit supplier manufacturability through on-site visits, deep assessment reviews, and ongoing performance measurements.
Identify, manage, report, and solve supplier, supply, inventory, and project risks and issues.
Oversee timely delivery of projects from conception to completion through development of detailed project plans that account for scope, timelines, budget and other pertinent details.
Lead teams, projects, programs, escalations, and innovation.
Customize and deploy efficient supply chain management tools to effectively train and maintain compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, contracts, and business continuity plans.
