Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our talented group as a Processing Support Manager.
Position Highlights: The loan processing team at Tri Pointe Connect works directly with loan consultants/officers and homebuyers to facilitate the process of obtaining mortgage financing.
The Manager of Processing Support will lead a team of loan processing assistants through all aspects of preparing the loan for processing, including order flood certificates, obtaining verifications of employment/rent, ordering tax transcripts, assisting the loan processors with collecting additional documentation from the borrower.
The loan processing assistant team also includes an appraisal coordinator and a condo specialist to assist processors and loan originators with property-related functions.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring loan processing assistants perform their jobs with the highest level of customer service while ensuring documentation is collected timely and quality metrics are continuously met.
Position Responsibilities: Oversee day to day operations within processing assistant team to ensure excellence in customer service, compliance with all policies procedures, and regulations, as well as productivity and quality standards are met Assist processing assistants with questions about documentation acceptability Monitor processes and efficiencies and work with Regional Processing Manager to identify key areas to improve productivity, document quality, or customer experience Manage pipeline deadlines to ensure loan documents are submitted to critical milestones to meet purchase contract close of escrow dates Conduct 1:1’s, huddles, and departmental meetings to ensure consistent communication is provided to all team members Communicate verbally and electronically with internal and external parties applicable to the transaction including but not limited to loan consultants, builder representatives, real estate agents, homebuyers, title/escrow agents, homeowners insurance agents, and others Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures in addition to State and Federal requlatory requirements May be required to perform processor duties in times of need, including but not limited to reviewing file for completeness, reviewing documentation submitted by borrowers and third parties, ensuring documentation and data are complete and accurate, and submitting loans to underwriting Maintain updated communication logs as well as provide regular and accurate status reporting Working with Regional Processing Manager, responsible for all aspects of personnel management including hiring, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, salary recommendations, and termination Address all escalations within a timely manner, working with internal operations and sales team members and leadership to resolve internal and external concerns with respect to loan decisions or loan conditions Provide coaching and career development to processing assistants seeking to expand their knowledge to grow into a full loan processor role.
Oversees appraisal coordinator role which is responsible for managing escalations within the appraisal ordering process and interfacing with appraisers/appraisal management companies, and investors.
Manages condo specialist role which is responsible for gathering all applicable condo documentation to submit for condo project approval.
May be required to interface with the builder, investor, or outside vendor to resolve any open issues relating to obtaining agency project approvals.
Respond to post-closing audit requests as well as assist with resolution for any closed loan files requiring additional documentation Assist with developing relevant training materials, checklists, or additional supplemental documents to help teach and train on various underwriting-related processes or guidelines As required, participate in special projects or assignments Position Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, degree preferred Minimum 5 years mortgage experience, including 2 years management; purchase/builder experience preferred MS Office; including Outlook, Word, and Excel Encompass LOS experience preferred Position is expected to work in office located in Scottsdale, AZ Job-Specific Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills Strong time management skills along with the ability to prioritize workload and escalations while maintaining department service level agreements Strong organizational skills Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA guidelines and AUS Ability to meet internal and external expectations when working under fast paced sometimes tight deadlines Sound judgment and decision-making abilities Strong regulatory knowledge, including ECOA, HMDA, RESPA, and other applicable federal or state-specific guidelines Ability to work cooperatively with sales associates on a daily basis Ability to resolve time-sensitive escalations in an urgent manner, ensuring processes are in place or implemented to mitigate future escalations Motivate team members to perform in times of high demand, ensuring loan quality and productivity are balanced Strong ability to effectively manage through times of growth and change At Tri Pointe Homes, we are intentional about fostering an environment where you, and all individuals, are encouraged to be their authentic selves.
