Job Description:
Microchip Technology Inc.
is looking for a self motivated individual to fill the position of Verification Engineer within Microchip’s Micro-controller product development team.
A candidate will have the responsibility to verify products in Microchip’s 16 micro-controller product portfolio at Microchip’s Chandler Design Center
Work with the architects, designers to develop comprehensive verification plans
Actively participate in SOC test development and debug
Develop effective suite of tests and test environments using a mix of class based System Verilog and C based directed tests to achieve predefined functional verification goals
Learn and dynamically apply knowledge of the SoC, protocols and standards
Implement solutions to automate the verification flow
Requirements/Qualifications:
BS/MS Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience enough to successfully perform the essential duties
Hands on experience in creating/debugging complex testbench environments using Verilog/System Verilog
Experience with Assertions and Coverage
Hands on experience with UVM and VMM/AVM methodologies
Strong programming/scripting skills, i.
e.
, C, Perl/Python
Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
Knowledge of the ASIC design flow and Micro-controllers is an asset
Experience with protocols and interfaces is an asset (SPI, UART, CAN, I2C)
