FINANCE CONTROLLER Location: Chandler, AZ, 85286 Come join Savage! Savage is an entity of Videndum Media Distribution.
As the Finance Controller you would prepare and coordinate the preparation of the monthly and weekly financial statements for company.
Coordinate the preparation of the budget and forecast financial process.
You would be responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of all financial data and for providing financial reports required by company management.
You would also be responsible for the development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to appraise profitability, expenses and performance against budget.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES Under the coordination of Finance Director, • Manage the finance function & Team for Savage and Videndum Distribution, reviewing and monitoring business performance to ensure proper delivery of financial reports per the corporate calendar • Make sure the proper reconciliation of accounts, resolve and close aging items on time • Manage overall working capital to drive efficient cash flow – optimize receivables, payables, and inventory levels • Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes • Complete the month end, quarterly and annual financial statements, BS reconciliation and variance analysis in accordance with the Group IFRS requirements • Coordinate, manage and review with Finance Director the forecasting and budgeting quarterly and annually • Review and develop effective financial/accounting policies and control procedures in compliance with Group Policies to improve operational efficiency • Responsible for supporting new business initiatives by actively participating in the design of processes and systems that will be responsible for managing financial transactions • Monitor the financial systems for identification and recommendation of procedural and processing improvements required for operational support and customer service • Receive and resolve inquiries from all Managers regarding monthly financial results and performances • Provide external auditors with the necessary documentation and support for HY and FY audit • Timekeeper and Payroll responsibilities including the preparation of the biweekly payroll submission including Sales Commission and Bonus entries QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL SKILLS • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, math, economy or a related field • At least 5-7 years of direct experience in an accounting, auditing or finance role • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license can set you apart in this highly competitive field5 to 7+ year experience in a similar role gained through increasingly responsible positions within finance • Working knowledge of accounting systems, ERP and Business Intelligence software; strong computing skills (Microsoft Office) • Well-developed financial analysis capabilities • Ability to communicate effectively • Leadership skills • Ability to influence management • Detail oriented and analytical skills • Decision Making and Proactive attitude • Ability to understand company products, manufacturing operations, distribution and retail organization.
