Job Purpose We are searching for a driven, detail-orientated engineering technician to join our growing organization.
The engineering technician's responsibilities include executing R&D trials on various process equipment, assist in manufacturing prototypes, assist in building experimental process equipment, inspecting products, ensuring sites are safe and clean, providing customer support, and reporting to the Engineering Manager.
To be successful in this engineering technician role, you must demonstrate a sound ability to follow and execute directives, work well in a team, be humble to learn and be very detail orientated.
We are looking for an engineering technician that is a self-starter with an insatiable curiosity, a superb work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills.
Principal Accountabilities Working alongside engineers to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.
Collaborating with engineers in the development of engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies, and components.
Conducting mechanical and analytical testing of new materials.
Executing R&D Trials on various equipment including, but not limited to, Compounding, Injection Molding, Composite Molding, Testing, and other unique process equipment.
Inspecting and modifying existing designs and prototypes, as directed by the engineer.
Collecting data, on the process trials, and keeping detailed notes on the process conditions.
Running tests, diagnostics, and calibrations on equipment, after proper training.
Conducting experiments and investigations under the guidance of Engineers.
Inspecting inventory and working with the Engineering Project Manager to reorder materials and technical components.
Engages in the actual diagnosis and repair of systems, as necessary, demonstrating the use of special tools and fixtures, maintenance techniques, and repair procedures.
Provides instruction in the proper use of maintenance manuals, technical data packages, and other technical documentation.
Analyzing operations and offering suggestions for improvement.
Maintaining records and assisting with execution plans Be open to learning new technologies and participate in learning and growth opportunities.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong electro-mechanical aptitude, need to know how to use tools, and ability to learn new equipment.
Excellent safety awareness, and desire to work safely without taking risks.
Strong analytical ability Good writing and communication skills.
A willingness to work in a team, but also independently with minimum supervision.
Experience with CAD, assembly BOMs and mechanical assembly drawings is a plus.
Associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Ability to lift, push, pull, handle machinery and devices up to 50 pounds.
Physical activity may also include long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
Able to work in confined spaces.
Repeatable two-handed operation for an entire shift Safely operate forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting product Additional Information Full Time First Shift Reporting to R&D Engineering Manager #LI-DNP Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections) The salary range for this position is $25 - $35.
