Responsibilities Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching manufacturing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors on designs and implementation of the processes.
Complete design and development of projects by training and guiding operators and technicians.
Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
Create and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for continuous performance and process improvements and train others on Lean Concepts and applications.
Manage relationships with maintenance and service professionals to keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
Qualifications Required Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
A minimum of five (5) years of Manufacturing Engineering, Solid Works, Fusion, AutoCAD, MS Office, MRP, PLM experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage a project from concept to implementation.
Qualifications Preferred Knowledge of PLC’s and statistical analysis software (Minitab) Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Demonstrated ergonomic analysis and improvement processes in the workplace.
