Role: Release Manager Years of Experience: 10+ years Location: Santa Clara, CA(Remote) Your responsibilities in this role will include: • Develop a strong understanding for the platform and understand how platform releases will impact the wider business.
• Plan and organise release management activities in alignment with the platform timeline.
• Oversee the release of new and optimised functionality on the platform.
• Manage the release schedule, working closely with both third-party suppliers and global teams.
• Collaborate with product and integration teams to prioritise the delivery of features and bugs in sprints.
• Oversee the scope for the delivery of global digital solutions and ensure these are of the highest quality and within the programme timeframes.
• Forge strong supplier relationships, managing communication and escalation processes to ensure that release and testing processes are aligned.
• Implement process improvements.
• Monitor vendor quality and performance when it comes to feature development and releases.
• Manage the testing processes to ensure newly developed features meet quality standards and market requirements.
• Provide support on risk management and mitigation.
• Ensure quality technical and managing reporting.
• Work closely with agency partners and business teams to communicate release timings.
Previous Work Experience • To administer and supervise the value proposition within the Change & Release Management function.
• To assist in identifying opportunities for improvement within the area and within the existing processes.
• To collaborate with their manager, stakeholders & specialist resources.
• To assist the decisions for which improvements take priority to implement and then assist to get them delivered.
• The Change Manager strives to learn the best practice and knowledge with which to provide guidance to assist the Change & Release Management Function and their customers.
• To be a process facilitator and an advocate of the Change & Release Management function.
• To control the areas performance against KPI’s with thorough communication & governance with stakeholders & customers • Worked as a Release Manager (or similar) for a global or international company.
• Experience managing release programmes on a global platform build.
• Experience with GITHub, ServiceNow, Openshift • Experience with Change Advisory Board of the Organisation to Manage the Release Readiness • Working knowledge of platform development tools including JIRA.
• Strong Agile / Scrum experience.
• Worked with development teams in a Scrum or Kanban environment • Experience with short sprint cycles and the full SDLC .
