The director is responsible for leading client success, helpdesk, and admin systems while serving as the key liaison for IT for the entire Phoenix Children’s environment.
This position is key to the success of the teams to deliver clear and concise communication through planning and coordination across the organization for initiatives impacting clinical care, change management and downtime processes.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Director is responsible for leading the purchase, implementation, training, and maintenance of all administrative systems operated at Phoenix Children’s.
This comprehensive role ensures the seamless operation of IT services and the continuous enhancement of technology-driven solutions at Phoenix Children`s, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the organization.
Position Duties
Takes a leadership role in evaluating, selecting, planning, coordinating, and implementing new solutions.
Uses system and healthcare experience to determine appropriate applications.
Assumes a leadership role in guiding the organization towards the most cost efficient and effective solution.
Utilizes negotiation skills to ascertain cost effective solutions.
Manages project team evaluation and testing of applications.
Responsible to ensure communications are timely and effective.
Manages resources to ensure that project delivery is on-time.
Oversees problem solving with team members.
Monitors and improves customer service in all areas of oversight
Ensures high quality customer service through courteous and professional communication.
Supports and maintain effective relationships by overseeing the defining, documenting and management of the processes for incident, requests, and problem management.
Gathers and analyzes data to benchmark and measure proficiency of our customer facing teams.
Oversees IT departmental orientation.
Utilizes ITIL to streamline processes to enhance customer service.
Leads communication of system performance across all IT departments and the organization
Supports 300+ applications across the organization.
Monitors network and systems for performance, security, and other issues.
Assists users with software, hardware, and connectivity issues.
Ensures that our business is receiving the most effective user experience.
Directs the support and maintenance of existing admin applications for Foundation, Finance, Marketing, Risk Management, etc.
Actively participates in the leadership of the IT division
Attends Manager and Director Meetings.
Provides collaborative communication across the department.
Leads and develops a cohesive team
Provides input into global IT and Administrative functions seeking to improve
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
