JOB TITLE: Autonomy Software Engineer
ABOUT THE JOB:
Support the development of new and novel products and platforms.
This position will be part of a diverse team of engineers capable of executing in a fast-paced environment.
Opportunities available are in embedded software development, integration, and testing of Autonomous Crewed and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering Discipline.
Applied Sciences (Physics) or Mechanical Engineering degrees may be considered with applicable embedded software experience.
Experience at all levels will be considered with a minimum of 2 years' experience (this is not an entry level role).
Proficient utilizing modern programming languages (ex.
C++, C#, Java, Python), Object Oriented design, development practices, and implementation.
Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to perform a wide variety of related tasks.
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) Works well with others, including understanding organizational and team differences to accomplish a project.
Demonstrated high level of motivation, enthusiasm, energy, and interest in learning new technologies and applications.
HIGHLY PREFERRED SKILLS: Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP multicast, ARINC-429, etc.
) Prior experience with Autonomous Systems Development, Uncrewed Systems (Air, Ground, Sea), Flight Controls, Sensor Systems (EO, IR, LiDAR, RADAR, etc.
) PREFERRED SKILLS: Additional work in airborne sensors, avionics, or electrical systems integration, development, and testing.
Familiarity with commercial certification and military qualification of aircraft systems.
