Purpose of the job Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Software as a Senior Software Engineer, you will provide technical expertise as a program team leader in the identification and development of new products.
You will lead proposals to address future business opportunities, value engineering and program/process changes.
You will act as a key focal point for driving and implementing goals and objectives.
You will be recognized by business management as the primary technical authority.
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required Work Experience At least ten (10) years’ experience using SQL Server including T-SQL (SPROCS, Functions, etc.
) At least five (5) years’ experience using Visual Studio .
NET/C# solutions including, Business Intelligence projects (SSRS, SSIS ETL, etc.
- BIDS, SSDT, etc.
) At least 10 years' experience serving as a Software Engineer supporting Provider Data Management (PDM) environments At least five years' experience supporting Symplr eVips, Spayer, and eSearch environments Experience using Symplr's Dynamic Import Utility (DUI) a plus Experience with Team Foundation Server, CI/CD, and GIT a plus Experience with Visio a plus Required Education Associates or Bachelor’s degree in computer science related field preferred or equivalent experience in related roles Required Licenses N/A Required Certifications N/A PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Work Experience 10 years of experience with SW development.
Platform SW development includes integrations connectors, communications Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree Preferred Licenses N/A Preferred Certifications N/A ESSENTIAL job functions AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review, analyze, define, and document customer and business requirements Develop and communicate system documentation and testing scenarios Troubleshoot, test and coordinate to resolve reported software and/or data issues while providing status to affected teams Perform testing in development and production (post deployment) environments of new and existing solutions or configuration updates to ensure the final products meet or exceed business and system expectations and requirements Create test plans, which describe procedures and test case scenarios to demonstrate that all business requirements have been considered and met Participate in business requirements meetings to gather and record business requirements.
Help to define functional requirements needed for internally-developed solutions Research and resolve production issues as necessary competencies REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Required Job Skills Ability to code in multiple languages Business oriented approach to software development Ability to find the correct balance between demand and capacity when establishing priorities for the organization Required Professional Competencies Well-versed in analytics Understanding of various software development lifecycle Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices Required Leadership and Personal Effectiveness Competencies Diverse and global teaming and collaboration Ability to communicate effectively Wide degree of creativity and latitude self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
