Job Description As a Systems Software Development Engineer in the Technology Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA) Factory Data Systems group, you will partner with other engineers to create integrated software systems that improve manufacturing output and productivity for Intel's semiconductor manufacturing factories.
These state-of-the-art systems include tracking the product as it moves through the factory to enable traceability of material processed by Intel manufacturing plants worldwide.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Analyzing the customer requirements and designing software solutions to meet requirements.
- Maintaining clear communications with customers and stakeholders.
- Working as part of a software development team to create robust, reliable, and high-performance applications that achieve customer requirements.
- Creating and running test suites to prove the functionality, reliability, and performance of the applications developed.
- Providing expert level support to end users on use of these applications.
- Perform daily performance monitoring for the ecosystem in support of distributed streaming solutions - Create and analyze performance metrics to improve the performance and stability of the system.

Qualifications Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must possess a BS degree with 1+ years of experience or MS degree with 6+ months in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
6+ months of experience in the following: - Knowledge with full implementation of Elasticsearch.
- Architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions using the Kafka stack (Kafka Connect, Kafka Schema Registry, Kafka Streams DSL) - Deploy, configure, test, and troubleshoot Elastic clusters and environments.
- Knowledge with Prometheus/Grafana Preferred Qualifications: 6+ months of experience of experience in the following: - Deploy, configure, test, and troubleshoot Kubernetes artifacts (StatefulSets, ServiceMonitor, NodePort, etc).
- Experience with Kafka Processor API and ksqlDB.
- Experience with Github Actions for continuous integration and deployment of solutions.
- Experience with Docker and creating Containerized solutions and deploying Kubernetes artifacts with Helm Charts.
- Experience with supporting distributed systems and developing solutions to mitigate risks of performance and service impacts.
- Experience in end-to-end low-level design, development, administration, and delivery of Kafka based solutions.
- Comfortable with administration of services running on Windows/Linux.
- Experience with Python and Java.

Working Model This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
