The SQL DBA Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology department.
This person will focus on the administration of the internal network infrastructure to include databases and servers.
The SQL DBA Administrator will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the Apriva systems operations and make recommendations for implementation.
Works under the direction of the Information Technology Director; this position requires excellent customer service and organizational skills to support administrative personnel, department supervisors, staff, and Apriva customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SQL DBA tasks supporting 24x7 production and Dev/QA environments
Assists in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems to including servers, software applications and databases.
Develops, maintains, and monitors procedures for ensuring compliance and updated operations run book.
Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
Perform on-site and remote technical support.
Understands Win2003/2008 in an enterprise infrastructure and works with engineering to build out and support a LAB environment to match current production.
Works with Operations team and Development to enhance and manage changes that move through SDLC lifecycle.
Maintains excellent communication with the IT Director on all tasks and projects.
Creates and maintains good technical documentation.
Supports 24x7 production environments.
Provides emergency on-call support and ability to work a flexible shift
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
5+ years experience setting up and managing enterprise SQL database environments
5+ years experience with Windows 2000/2003 Server platforms
Solid database and server knowledge including strong troubleshooting skills
Strong background with Security as priority
Advanced technical troubleshooting skills with hardware & software as it relates to all servers and infrastructure platforms
Basic Windows scripting skills and automation experience
Strong DB and Server performance tuning
Ability to review code releases, suggest performance enhancements and work closely with the developers
