Manufacturing Engineering Intern
Are you interested in a dynamic role in manufacturing engineering? Join us as a
Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the summer of 2024! Our internship program is
slated to run from May 13th to August 16th, offering a hands-on experience in the world
of manufacturing and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes
and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, quality,
and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct data analysis and process simulations to identify opportunities for
process optimization and waste reduction.
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous
improvement initiatives.
Assist in troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions to
ensure smooth operations.
Participate in equipment and tooling design projects, including CAD modeling and
prototype testing.
Support documentation efforts, including creating standard operating procedures
(SOPs) and work instructions.
Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities related to
manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial
Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.
g.
, SolidWorks,
AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
methodologies (e.
g.
, Six Sigma).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Prior internship or coursework related to manufacturing engineering is a plus but
not required.
Additional Information:
This internship is open to students entering their junior or senior year of college.

and interns may be eligible for academic credit if approved by their institution.
