We are looking for a Software Engineer with a focus in Python who will responsible for managing the technical aspects of the underwriting decisioning system.
Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and quick response times.
You will be working with the Data Science team, to implement tests and communicate efficiently with machine learning models.
You will also be coordinating work with other development teams at Soaren Management and implementing API’s for use outside of the Data Science team.
Responsibilities:
Writing clean, reusable, testable, and efficient code
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Implementation of security and data protection
Integration of data storage solutions
Expert in Python, with knowledge of Flask and Gunicorn.
Experience designing and documenting API’s
Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
Strong unit test and debugging skills
Proficient understanding of Git
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of Software Engineering experience with a focus in Python preferred
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in any STEM degree preferred
