50 Hourly LOCATION Scottsdale, AZ JOB TYPE PT Regular JOB NUMBER FY2324-00585 DIVISION CITY TREASURER DEPARTMENT BUDGET OPENING DATE 02/23/2024 CLOSING DATE 3/15/2024 11:59 PM Arizona Introduction This is a part-time position that does not include benefits and will be scheduled for 30 hours per week.
The City of Scottsdale is looking for a Department Systems Analyst III that will support the Accounting and Budget systems and operations in the City Treasurer's Office.
Normal daily duties may include performing daily/monthly tasks, process analysis, general IT support of Smart Stream, participation in the migration of the ERP and other accounting applications, SSRS/Power BI/Excel development, TSQL query analysis, system testing, as well as meeting with customers and peers to further all the aforementioned efforts.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Five years of experience directly working on computer-based information systems' software, and programming/scripting languages in support of medium to large enterprise applications.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements Depending on the department assignment, obtain and maintain a Level D – Technical Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) Network Terminal Operator certification.
Training is provided on duty and testing is completed within first six months of hire.
Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on division/department/service assignment.
Essential Functions Works within the assigned department and provides application support on the designated systems.
Performs ad hoc database querying for users.
Designs and develops data reporting/extraction solutions.
Assists in system analysis, computer configuration, planning and training of employees on the assigned functional area's automated systems to ensure optimal performance of the systems.
Develops custom SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or PowerBI (PBI) reports based on customer needs and requirements.
Develops custom ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process using SQL SSIS and similar tools based on customer needs and requirements.
Leverages API (Application Programming Interfaces) to extract or transmit data to applications.
