This technology enables MCCCD to affordably deliver high-quality, timely, accessible, and informed service to all students.
Essential Functions 30% - Assists in the maintenance of multiple Amazon Connect Contact Centers; provides support for changes and troubleshooting issues, including evening and weekend support as needed; works closely with other Maricopa teams to configure and document flows and profiles in Amazon Connect, to onboard new customers into the platform.
20% - Assists in the configuration and maintenance of a centralized data lake for Maricopa; collaborates with senior AWS admins to deliver system solutions and maintain server infrastructure for critical systems.
20% - Supports regular upgrades of virtual systems and databases hosted in AWS EC2 instances; assists in regular maintenance, upgrades, technical and bug fixes to virtual systems hosted in AWS; explores recommended and emerging technologies to provide new, cost-saving cloud-based solutions in AWS as an alternative to existing systems.
20% - Performs continuous review of system auditing procedures and reports; collaborates with senior AWS admins to remediate audit findings to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
10% - Creates technical support documentation for systems and applications, design charts, and procedure manuals for all systems managed by the Cloud Infrastructure team; performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications High school education or GED Desired Qualifications Experience working with cloud services, preferably Amazon Web Services Possess an active AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification Experience with Linux operating system, preferably server based Familiarity with basic software development concepts Experience writing and updating technical documentation and technical procedures Special Working Conditions The selected candidate will possess an active AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification at time of hire or will obtain the certification within the first 6 months of employment.
Possessing an active AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification at 6 months of employment is required for retention.
MCCCD will provide financial resources for study materials and AWS exam.
The position is located in Tempe, AZ, with occasional in-person meetings.
MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas.
