Grow Your Skills, Grow Your Potential Responsibilities Platform Engineering is a software engineering team in the State Farm Innovation Group that aims to enable our agile teams to move at the speed of a startup, willingly sharing knowledge, streamlining dependencies and provide industry standard approaches and solutions.
We develop and maintain the AWS infrastructure for teams in the Innovation Group which includes technologies like Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Terraform, monitoring tools such as Datadog/Dynatrace, deployment technologies such as Gitops and base AWS runtimes.
We are looking for a teammate that has learning agility, passion for technology and willingness to share their knowledge with others.
What can you expect as a member of the team? You will receive full support from your teammates as you build out your engineering skillset You will support the infrastructure including updates and automation of the platform for our products You will collaborate and bring new concepts to the team and other product teams You will develop a strong understanding of systems from a "behind-the-scenes" perspective You will be a part of a team that is fully committed to continuous delivery practices and automation in a cloud environment You will collaborate with team-members of diverse technical/business backgrounds Qualifications Requirements: Prior software development experience; 3+ years experience preferred but not required.
Desire to learn new languages and frameworks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to research and apply industry-standard solutions to problems.
Required Technologies: Demonstrated experience with AWS Platform Scripting languages Terraform experience Preferred Technologies: Containers/Docker Kubernetes administration and application development Intermediate Python or Go coding skills Design and architecture within AWS using multiple services AWS networking (VPC, Security groups, Subnets) Automating the deployment of infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code) using Terraform CI/CD workflow using Gitlab/AWS Experience in monitoring solutions for applications/infrastructure ( e.

Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.
