We are seeking an experienced Release Coordinator with a strong commitment to team environment and team dynamics to join our Application Delivery Services team.
The Release Coordinator II enables frequent releases of software to employees and customers in an efficient, consistent, documented, and reproductible manner through coordination, scheduling and controlling the movement of software from test to production environments.
Primary Responsibilities: Owns and manages release calendar to prevent release or resource collisions and ensure visibility across the organization Owns and facilitates release review meeting and communication to application teams Collaborates with PM’s to ensure required information and application team resources are secured for releases Collaborates with application team members to develop standard checklists for releases Schedules release appointments Creates / updates change control case; interacts with change control board Facilitates release appointment; ensuring information and necessary resources are accounted for Leads release problem resolution and/or escalates release issues per standard procedures Anticipates potential release issues/risks and plans/communicates mitigation steps as appropriate Closes release through appropriate documentation and storage of release artifacts Measures release coordination activity and creates reports/dashboards for project teams and management that drive continuous improvement of software releases in the organization Proactively solicits feedback regarding release process from project teams Provides feedback to project teams regarding release improvement opportunities and collaborates with team/individuals to implement those opportunities Proposes, gains approval for, and drives continuous improvement efforts related to release coordination (people, process, technology) Escalates specific application release issues or release process issues to Required Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of software release related work experience Proficiency in software release coordination, project coordination, or project management Proficiency with MS Office / MS Office 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint Demonstrated experience with software development concepts and the Software Development Lifecycle Demonstrated experience with the technical aspects of software delivery tools including source control (Azure DevOps, VSTS, TFS, Git), Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (using Visual Studio Team Services, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc.
) Experience with SQL Server, Windows server configuration/IIS, scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or software delivery automation are a strong plus Required Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or equivalent experience SCOPE: Decision Impact: Individual Department Responsibility: None Budgetary Responsibility: No Direct Reports: No Indirect Reports: No Physical Requirements: N/A PulteGroup, Inc.
