Responsibilities We are seeking Technology Analysts within General Departments working across multiple product teams.
The products reside in the Financial and Statistical Processing and Reporting suite.
The applications include General Ledger (GL), Loss Reserves (LR), Transactional Data Stores (TDS), and Transactional Accounting System (TAS) which are all financially significant.
The technology supported within the area includes mainframe, SAS, PeopleSoft, and newer technologies being explored to replace existing technologies including Java, Python, and AWS.
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in finance/accounting.
In addition, having experience in leading large multiple department efforts is a plus.
The team the analysts will join are a group of high performing analysts who deliver results on a regular basis, using agile techniques through sprints, backlog grooming and iterative development.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities: Exhibits DevOps and Agile mindset for product from inception to sunset, and demonstrates a growth mindset Develops and analyzes functional specifications (through research, evaluation, recommendation and documentation of new products, processes, workflows and procedures), and partners with engineers to build and implement technology solutions Defines, analyzes, clarifies, interprets and translates detailed business needs and requirements for applications, processes and procedures (this will include both Enterprise Initiatives and regulatory requirements) Works in collaboration with product team, leads and stakeholders to understand, analyze, document, and communicate requirements aligning to the product objective, vision, and strategy; uses outcomes as measures of success and value delivery Provides product and/or process knowledge to support design, development, testing and execution of solutions Performs user acceptance testing including end user, performance, or business user testing, and engages in the development of test automation where appropriate.
Develops test cases, verifies and validates systems and solutions developed through work efforts and analyzes results Coordinates the development, review and update of procedures (AOPs) and training Identifies, manages, and facilitates the resolution of risks, issues, and defects and provides consultation and direction to business and department partners Provides analytics and insights in response to business questions through the use of data, tools, and technologies Communicates effectively across the team and various stakeholders (suite/department/and various business domains), interacting with and informing parties in and outside of areas of responsibility Applies an in-depth understanding of assigned applications Comprehends complex dependencies and navigates the organization to facilitate decision making, issue resolution, and continuous improvement Qualifications We are seeking candidates with the following experience: Multiple years of experience in a financial reporting area or enterprise technology area supporting this work, with an understanding of balancing and flow of data through the system (upstream to completion) A strong working knowledge of data analysis, problem solving and understanding the data to identify root cause of out of balance and other issues Attention to detail, strong relationship building skills Coordinating large projects across multiple areas/products Additional desired skills: Multiple years working/collaborating on IT projects Use of Control-D * Qualified candidates may be considered for other positions.
