Manages projects, directly and indirectly, related to Human Resources Strategic Plan Goals or Initiatives, Chancellor Priorities, and District HR Projects.
Acts as a consultant to support a consistent, scalable, and repeatable approach to project management for Human Resources district-wide.
Leads project teams and/or provides project management support to project teams.
This role will use a variety of project management methodologies to ensure projects are completed in scope, on time, and with quality.
Leads project team including the facilitation of meetings and workgroups, providing responsive communication throughout a project, and ensuring reliable follow-through; assists project teams by documenting the scope of work, timeline, goals, key discussion points, issue identification, and deliverables.
Essential Functions 80% Project Management - Serves as the Project Manager or Coordinator for District Office HR Division projects - Works with the Business Owner to develop the overall project scope including the identification and establishment of project objectives, milestones, schedule and overall plan - Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, and within scope - Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders - Ensure resource availability and allocation - Leads stakeholder analysis processes - Create and maintain project documentation - Schedule and facilitate meetings - Provides regular follow-up or check-ins with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and objectives - Establishes or works with Change Management/ Communications team to socialize proposals, recommendations, and decisions as needed - Establish and maintain working relationships with staff involved in assigned project - Coach and counsel business owners and/or project members - Act as back-up to business owners and/or project leads - Provide technical assistance and resolve issues related to project tasks or assignment - Participate in strategic planning and decision-making - Prioritize projects and initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives - Provide reports regarding the delivery and efficiency of initiatives or projects through dashboards or other reports - Report and escalate risks and issues to management as needed - Develop partnerships to further project development efforts 10% Business Process Analysis - Design, develop and implement business processes to achieve organization goals.
- Track and communicate status of business process projects to management.
- Plan, implement and monitor business process changes for projects.
- Assist in making business decisions relating to system implementation, modification, maintenance, etc.
- Develop and maintain business process documentations that will be used as reference for preparing test cases, training documents, etc.
- Update business processes to meet changing business needs.
- Present analyses, solutions and business cases to senior management.
- Coordinate with and facilitate cross-functional team sessions to gather business process requirements.
- Create visual models to document process workflow - Draft, edit and revise iterative process documents - Review training materials - Define metrics and measures of success 10% - Develops and delivers presentations, correspondence and other communication materials - Liaise with HR communications and Change Management as needed - Research industry standards, trends, best practices and emerging technologies and makes recommendations for implementation - Participates on committees, task forces, councils and/or with other stakeholder groups - Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and four (4) years of related program management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
OR Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and six (6) years of related program management experience, preferably in an educational setting.

and eight (8) years of related program management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
Desired Qualifications A.
Two (2) years of experience leading complex projects B.
Two (2) years of experience engaging with leadership and stakeholders at multiple levels and across multiple departments C.
