Database Developer

Database Developer (240060) Job Summary As a Database Developer you will contribute directly to application and business teams as a member of a cross-functional development team.
You will work alongside your development team members and support development, data inquiries, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
You will be responsible for producing stable, scalable, high quality database features that support the application code for the team’s applications and services; collaborate with and mentor team members on best practices and data standards; and help provide direction and support new database technologies and methodologies, to ensure that the best solution is put in place for each project.
Responsibilities Assist development teams in the build out of stable, reliable and effective schema and database technologies.
Including transactional and analytical database efforts as required by the business.
Develop, support and implement standards and practices for data-driven applications.
Review performance metrics of data calls and implement methods to tune the queries and provide data optimization solutions.
Accurately estimate data tasks, and stay on time and on budget for tasks assigned for data work.
Act as a mentor for software developers on database patterns and practices.
Provide input to the ongoing database efforts of the enterprise, providing guidance on best technologies and methods for data access.
Promote database code quality standards with code reviews and mentorship.

Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
3+ years experience in database development with strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Services.
3+ years experience in BI and data warehouse methodologies.
Knowledge of data management standards, practices and procedures.
Experience and exposure to Performance Tuning (Identifying and resolving performance issues, blocking, deadlocking).
Strong T-SQL knowledge.
Proficient with database design fundamentals related to Commerce, CRM, and Inventory Systems.
Experience in cloud-based (Azure) data lakes.
Experience with non-relational and non-Microsoft database systems.
Knowledge of C# and .
Net web technologies.
