Ahnala Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage STATUS: NON-EXEMPT REPORTS TO: Ahnala Manager JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Ahnala Manager, the Ahnala Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the casino resort three meal restaurant, pool bar and In Room Dining.
This position is responsible for the oversight of all front of house operations, training calendar, service culture, coffee bar counter, training, menu print accuracy and the beverage program for the Ahnala Restaurant.
They will ensure the accuracy and availability of all menus for the restaurant, in room dining and pool bar including all food menus, specialty cocktails, spirits, beer and wine lists.
They will supervise the dining room, pool bar and grille in addition to In Room Dining to ensure the We-Ko-Pa-Way standard of service at all times.
They will ensure proper rotations and plotting of daily service.
The Ahnala Supervisor will support the restaurant and Manager for all special events, group bookings and reservations.
Will perform like duties in all casino and resort outlets as designated by business demands.
They are responsible to assist with the daily, weekly and monthly training calendar.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and events needed by business demands.
Will maintain the highest level of service standards at all times to provide the best dining experience in the area.
Our leadership team will demonstrate and promote our We-Ko-Pa-Way Service Culture at all times EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Two years as a supervisor in a high volume a la carte restaurant.
Extensive beer, liquor knowledge preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills Self-motivated with attention to detail Knowledge of cocktail development, coffee, energy drink cocktails, beer trends and service as well as overall beverage operations preferred 4 or 5 diamond resort or casino experience strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills Must have the ability to maintain a training calendar Must have budgetary experience and be able to manage P&L statements, labor, cost of beverage sales and menu costing Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Agilysis and Stratton Warren or comparable inventory systems.
REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES: Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the Casino Resort We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards Smile and Greet Name and Meet Thank you and Goodbye Accountable to all standards set forth in the We-Ko-Pa Way Casino Resort service guide.
The Ahnala Supervisor will support the restaurant to provide an efficient and creative coffee bar menu and offerings.
Will ensure accuracy of menus and product availability at all times Work to ensure that all products are available and set up including coffee bar and bar prep work, bar mixers, garnishes and applicable items.
Oversees guest satisfaction through daily table visits in the bar and dining room.
Must assist the restaurant to create and maintain a regular clientele based through networking, grass roots marketing, social media efforts and casino player development.
Will be responsible to aid in the training of all bartenders, servers, bussers, runners and ensures consistency of service at the highest level at all times.
Responsible for assisting with orders and inventory of all coffee products, spirits, beer and wine Will work with Ahnala Manager and marketing to ensure a marketing presence for all restaurants specials and events.
Will provide “outside the box” thinking on how to work towards the goal as the best restaurant and coffee bar in Arizona.
Addresses any and all food, beverage or service related guest issues and utilizes creativity and resources available to maintain optimum satisfaction.
The Ahnala Supervisor will support resort banquet events and off site events for groups as needed in all capacities including oversight, staffing, scheduling and ordering as required by business demands.
They will also support Fort McDowell Adventures as needed.
Works on the floor 90% of the time with a “hands-on” mentality for guest service.
Must be knowledgeable of all health department standards.
Must receive and have a current Food Handlers Card at all times.
Must complete the Management Title IV training through Human Resources Assists in banquet and catering events for the department including off site events.
Oversees all beverage related menus regularly in restaurant and through online resources to ensure 100% accuracy Performs other related duties as required by department Must be able to lift in excess to 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
WORK CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Bend, reach, stand, walk for 34-66% of work day.
Eye/hand coordination for 34-66% of work day.
Exposed to hot/cold temperatures for 34-66% of work day.
Exposed to dust for 1-33% of work day.
Sit for 1-33% of work day.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
While working on casino floor, employee is exposed to high levels of noise daily INDIAN PREFERENCE: Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes.
