Overview: The Manager, Distribution Execution is responsible for supporting company distribution activities across multiple markets in the West region and anchoring the BBG operational excellence program for distribution in all facilities; working to build a culture of reliable execution and continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, customer service, operating cost, and regulatory compliance.
This position works directly with site leadership focusing on delivery execution, key activities include – train and implement best practices, own/manage standard operation procedures, lead process change, benchmarking, develop training materials, and lead technology implementations.
The ideal applicant has worked extensively with OmniTRAX and RoadNet.
Additionally bringing experience with leading technology implementations such as vehicle camera systems, proof of delivery systems, etc.
As well as, experience in creating and implementing Defensive Driving Programs.
This position can be based out of the following states - Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, Minnesota, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities: Drive Overall Safety and Quality Assurance by ensuring all sites are compliant with the following: Quality and customer service focus assuring our customer receive accurate orders, damage free, and on-time.
Maintaining a safety-first work environment (GreenRoads, DQ files, proper techniques) Work with fleet leasing and maintenance companies to ensure fleet maintenance program is up to date, proper lifecycle management execution, establish vehicle specifications, and oversee fleet leasing agreements Partnership Gain alignment with states on areas of focus related distribution Lead monthly business reviews with Distribution Managers at each site Support development and training of site distribution leadership Subject matter expert (SME) for dispatching, invoicing, reporting, and compliance systems Process Improvement Drive operational excellence – establishing targets, benchmarking performance, and working with all sites in the region to close performance gaps in distribution Continuously update and communicate distribution standard operating procedures Lead development and implementation of distribution training materials Leading a comprehensive driver observation and coaching program in all sites Lead the implementation of all new driver facing technology implementations and ensure existing technologies are utilized to drive maximum value capture Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required #LI-Hybrid -Hybrid Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in distribution Analytical experience required with comprehensive business process and systems knowledge of delivery dispatching system, GPS tracking, driver safety, camera systems, fleet maintenance programs Strong attention to detail Ability to communicate the results of analysis clearly and concisely in both verbal and in written form.
Data gathering skills, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including the ability to link business process improvements to KPIs.
Experience in change management specifically in implementing and influencing change.
Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading talent development Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone This job description is only a summary of the typical functions of this position, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks and duties.
