*Position Summary:* The IT Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, management, communication, coordination of status reports, and accountability of project-oriented work efforts and success of their projects across the IT organization.
This position focuses on technical projects related to the design, development, execution, implementation or maintenance of systems or software.
The IT Project Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
He or she will create scope documents based on approved charters and project plans (work breakdown structures).
They track key milestones and adjust project plans, budget requests and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
The IT Project Manager is assigned to projects with multiple interdependencies and of moderate complexity, scope, risk, and impact to the business.
*Duties & Responsibilities: * * The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
* Manage projects with internal and external dependencies, moderate scope, risk of moderate severity and impact, integration within functional capabilities, moderate cost and typically longer duration within more than one team of resources.
* Identify and resolve discrepancies in planned costs versus actual cost and overall financial management for assigned projects.
* Responsible for developing and reviewing/validating multiple project plans and approving plans.
* Understands the need for Business Case/ROI and ensures its completion.
* Participates in change initiatives including tasks and initiatives outside of specific job duties.
* Responsible for developing and reviewing detailed project plans and tracking financial information.
* Communicate project status to project team, stakeholders' leadership and Program Managers associated with other projects.
* Advise project team, customers, and staff on tactical solutions to dealing with barriers within a project.
* Accountable for active facilitation of project issue resolution, change, risk, and dependency management.
* Accountable for project delivery including meeting time, budget and quality standards and customer expectations.
* Leads project meetings.
* Creates and maintains relationships with stakeholders and team members to achieve mutual goals.
*Required Qualifications:* * 5+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience IT related field.
* May hold MBA or Master of Computer Science.
* Program Manager experience – 3 to 5+ years.
* Must be legally authorized to work in the U.
S.
*Preferred Qualifications:* * PMP - Project Management Professional 1 certified preferred.
* Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately both written and verbal.
* Advanced proficiency in the use of labor, cost management and project tracking and management tools such as MS Project or others.
* Thorough understanding of business processes, functions, and architectures.
* High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
* Ability to Lead/Facilitate Core team or Steering meetings to obtain schedule, issues, risk, and dependency update.
* Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
*Travel: *May occasionally travel between facilities.
*Language:* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
*Physical Demands:* * Sit for long periods of time at a computer terminal and in meetings.
* May occasionally lift at least 35 lbs.
*Working Conditions:* * May occasionally work in confined spaces.
* May occasionally work in loud and noisy spaces.
* Extensive walking within the facilities (we have a large warehouse).
