Veterinary Practice Manager - Family Owned Hospital

*Job Title: Practice Manager* *Location: 16257 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254* *Schedule: 4-5 day/40hr work week aligned with the practice needs.
* *Salary: $50K-$80K/Year DOE/KSA’s/Certifications.
* *About the Job:* The VetHaven Veterinary Services is on the hunt for an experienced Practice Manager to join our privately owned practice nestled within a PetSmart store.

Our practice managers play a pivotal role in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the veterinary practice, allowing the medical team to focus on giving patients exceptional care.
This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires quick thinking and a collaborative spirit.
A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have excellent communication skills.

*Key Responsibilities:* * Supervision of Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants and Customer Service Representatives.
* Maintaining an environment that is positive and engaging for employees while holding a high standard of care for our patients.
* Maintaining strong working relationships with employees throughout the organization; collaborating and partnering with others to maximize efficiency and idea generation.
* Interviewing and making hiring decisions while promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
* Creating staff work schedules.
* Ensuring support staff compliance with established performance standards through accurate performance appraisals, coaching/training and corrective actions when necessary.
* Maintaining optimal inventory levels of both medical and non-medical supplies, and approving invoices for the hospital.
* Partnering with the Director of Field Operations to create and maintain training, including cross-training.
* Serving as a resource for clients in regard to concerns or problems regarding customer service, practice policies, non-payment and/or payment options.
* Ensuring compliance with AAHA accredited Standards of Care and assists in maintaining AAHA Accreditation.
* Implements new protocols and policies as needed as discussed by the VetHaven management team.
*Qualifications:* * Credentialed Veterinary Technician in any state with the ability to obtain your AZ credentials (not required but preferred).
* A minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary practice manager.
* A bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.
* A successful track record of being able to motivate and retain employees.
* Strong leadership, communication and listening skills.
* Ability to be flexible, empathetic, and understanding of staff and client concerns.
* Willingness to be hands-on in training and have a physical presence in the clinic when needed.
* Must have a general knowledge of quality assurance and performance in veterinary medicine and be able to act in an advisory role to establish and supervise medical protocols in accordance with the standards of care as required by the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board.
