com JOB OVERVIEW Job Description Honey & Sol offers an exciting opportunity to indulge your passion for hospitality and customer service.
We are a new endeavor looking for candidates that are excited to shape the café & grocery businesses into an efficient operation that satisfies the needs of our local community.
The ideal candidate possesses 5-7 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment and is highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
They must have a strong business aptitude and be able to strategize the entire food and beverage & grocery vision, from hiring and training to budgeting and execution.
Flexibility is a must, as ideal candidates have availability to work weekends and holidays.
Qualifications • Associate’s degree (AA) or 5-7 years of related experience in F&B management • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws • Experience with hiring, training and managing a team of employees • Strong food service vendor management experience • Proven management experience • Strong business aptitude • Must have strong service orientation • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills • Assist with special events with the F&B Department Responsibilities • Daily management of café & retail operations.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Communicate regularly with Board Members on restaurant performance • Make timely modifications to the food & beverage menu when necessary • Oversees daily café & retail activities including staff management, operating POS, quality checks on food & beverage, stock walks of grocery shelving.
• Assign daily workload and schedules to staff.
• Create staff schedules, set wages and benefits for employees.
• Perform inventory control to avoid over stock and low stock.
• Ensure that grocery shelves are maintained clean and organized.
• Implements policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage department including compliance of company standards relating to quality of products and services.
• Directs ordering amounts, timing of orders, receiving, invoice settlement and accuracy, storage temperatures in all areas.
• Continually researches vendor opportunities, pricing, service, and evaluates vendor relationships to the benefit of the facility.
• Executes inventory control and calculation for monthly analysis and reconciliation.
Identifies opportunities to control food costs and other expenses.
• Prepares and monitors annual budget, revenue goals and the expenses for the Food & Beverage department as well as generating various (weekly, monthly etc.
) business volume forecasts and planning accordingly.
• Reviews and analyzes various financial results/reports to monitor overall Food & Beverage performance and take any corrective actions that may be needed.
Working Conditions: • Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, and bending.
• The employee will be required regularly to reach with arms and hands.
• The employee occasionally will be required to lift up to 30lbs.
• Use of sight, reading, wrist movement to serve meals and beverages, operate food service equipment and clean food service areas.
• Noise level is typically moderate to loud.
• Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.
