*Summary of Position:* Circle the City is a mission-driven non-profit dedicated to providing high-quality, holistic healthcare to people experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County.
The Registered Nure (RN) Practice Manager comprehensively manages day-to-day operations of the family health center and is accountable for its successful operation, including the achievement of key performance indicators (KPI): financial targets, clinical quality goals, employee engagement, and patient satisfaction.
In partnership and collaboration with the family health center’s Medical Director, the RN Practice Manager ensures the family health center regularly achieves the triple aim of providing efficient, effective, and patient-centered healthcare.
*Essential Responsibilities:* *Duties include, but are not limited to:* * Leads a diverse team of administrative staff, licensed nurses, medical assistants, and drivers; * Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff as growth or vacancy occurs; * Conducts regular performance management duties including regular one-on-one updates with staff, coaching, new hire and annual evaluations, and performance improvement plans as needed; * Understands and occasionally performs both front office (patient check-in and registration) and back office (patient flow) duties; * Maintains work schedules for assigned staff that adhere to approved budgetary guidelines, minimizing dependence on overtime and/or other premium labor; * Oversees the preparation, submission, and approval of timecards for assigned staff; * Supervises day-to-day flow of the clinic, ensuring that the tasks and duties of assigned staff are completed timely; * Participates in ongoing process improvement workgroups to identify areas of opportunity and implement sustainable change; * Oversees scheduling and maintenance of patient appointments, provider calendars, and manages daily walk-in volume; * Responds to provider requests to investigate and solve problematic operational areas; * Ensures the clinic adheres to Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) licensing and other regulatory compliance standards; * Prepares and distributes reports and statistical data as requested by Circle the City’s leadership team; * Acts as a champion for all organizational goals related to the family health center including patient, employee, and financial outcomes; * Performs duties as Administrator on Call (AOC) on a rotation basis; * Partners with Human Resources Director to implement schedules and curriculum for initial and ongoing staff training and development, including recruitment and retention strategies; * Adheres to agency guidelines regarding timely completion of assigned duties including but not limited to incident reporting and performance evaluations and competencies.
*Qualifications:* * Excellent leadership skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving ability * Basic knowledge of medical terminology * Proficient in the use of a personal computer and ability to quickly learn relevant systems * Strong mastery of the English language with regard to reading, writing and speaking abilities * Excellent communication and customer service skills, including conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities * Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment * Demonstrated interest in working with an underserved population * Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and providers * Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills * Spanish bilingual preferred * Bachelor of Science in Nursing * Current Registered Nurse license in good standing from the Arizona State Board of Nursing * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification * 4 years of experience in a medical environment, clinic, or healthcare setting * Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a relevant field * Requires a current Arizona state driver’s license * Experience with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) preferred *Physical and Mental Requirements* * Position requires extended periods of sitting and standing; * Position requires regular bending and reaching, including transfer of patients; * Must be able to lift, carry and push 20 pounds on a regular basis; * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis; * Comfortable in handling competing priorities in an occasionally high-stress environment.
