SCOPE OF WORK Under the general supervision of the TEC Director at ITCA, Inc.
, the Program Supervisor Evaluator will facilitate programs support by providing Tribes in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah with effective technical assistance and training, regarding public health program planning, implementation, evaluation, public health accreditation, and workforce development based on Tribal priorities.
This key position will interface with community members, working groups, state employees, and funders, including the Indian Health Service (IHS) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Timely and regular attendance to work and work-related events is an essential function of this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist TEC Director and TEC team with leading the CDC Semi-annual and Annual reporting and evaluation report process.
• Assist TEC Director and TEC team with IHS evaluation activities.
• Plan and administer the project activities in accordance with the ITCA procedures, guidelines, and funding terms and conditions.
• Develop and process partnership and consultant agreements and invoices for training and technical assistance events.
• Assist the TEC Director with CDC funded Memorandum of Agreements, Tribal budgets, and Tribal invoicing; • Develop and complete all technical assistance, site visits, work group meetings and training in the work plan.
• Construct public health presentations for internal and external trainings, meetings and professional conferences.
• Construct confidential reports and facts sheets.
• Maintain accurate and complete project files electronically and/or hard copy format of assignments.
• Assist with the development of grant proposals for continued program funding, which includes, development of project budgets, work plans, output measures and outcome measures.
• Coordinate with ITCA IT department to ensure the TEC webpages are up to date with accurate CDC program information.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, mentors, and evaluate the TEC core team staff.
• Conducts performance review and provides feedback to staff for improvements.
• Will communicate regularly and in a timely manner with the TEC Director regarding any challenges or problems.
• Follow all ITCA, Inc.
policies and procedures.
• Travel within the IHS Phoenix-Tucson Service Areas of Arizona, Nevada and Utah to Tribal partners to conduct training, attend meetings, and provide technical assistance as requested with minimal supervision.
Overnight stays are required.
• Performs other related duties, special projects and reporting, as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS: • Demonstrated project management skills.
• Demonstrated public health program evaluation skills.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills.
• Ability to identify and analyze issues influencing the project, and recommend and develop solutions influencing issue resolution.
• Excellent communication skills in writing, telephone, webinar, and face-to-face meetings.
• Demonstrated experience with health promotion programming.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Must be willing to learn other software as needed.
• Sensitivity to others and the ability to work respectively and cooperatively with the organization’s partners.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
STRONGLY DESIRED • Experience working with Tribes in Arizona, Nevada, and/or Utah.
• Experience with health literacy concepts and application to public health programming.
• Experience with disabilities focused public health programming.
• Experience with LGBTQ2S+ public health programming beyond HIV/STI.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Must be willing to learn other software as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: MPH and at least 4 years post-Master’s degree demonstrated project management and budget management experience, or Bachelor of Science or Art in health promotion, community health, epidemiology, sociology, psychology, or business and minimum 6 years demonstrated project management and budget management experience.
Valid Arizona driver’s license and submit to a background check.
