Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a motivated Client Service Manager to develop client relationships, lead business development activities, pursue opportunities in public and private sectors, and continue our growth and success in our Water business in Arizona.
The Client Service Manager reports to the Business Center Practice Leader (BCPL) for Arizona and plays a pivotal role to position the firm to acquire new business.

Your Key Responsibilities Support and work with our Arizona BCPL and senior-level professionals to develop and maintain industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub consultants, and potential recruits.
Identification of major/strategic/transformational projects associated with top clients/prospects coming online in the next one-to-three-year horizon.
Identify cross-selling opportunities.
Assist with client needs assessments in coordination with Sector/Regional leadership for clients within the Account Management program.
Translate client/business needs into effective business development strategies and corresponding marketing collateral and selling material.
Assist in defining overall team project pursuit plan-win strategy.
Manage, assist and participate in delivering solutions and work products for clients using a variety of technical skills.
Develop, mentor and build trust and respect within the larger Stantec community of professional peers.
Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Business development experience with a large volume organization.
Knowledge of market assessment techniques, insights, and contacts.
Familiarity with industry trends and industry leaders.
Experience with responding to Requests for Proposals, Expression of Interests, Statement of Qualifications.
Business development skills, including experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a client base (such experience within a consulting organization is considered a strong asset).
Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Ability to negotiate skillfully in challenging situations with both internal and external groups.
Performs well under pressure.
Strong sense of teamwork and community.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil, environment, or mechanical engineering, or related field is required.
Minimum of 10 years of project management and business development experience is required.
Arizona Professional Engineering (PE) License required.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
