*Job Summary Overview* The position is responsible for coordinating the development of advance arrangements and procedures to ensure the organization can respond to a disaster so that the critical business functions can be resumed within a defined time frame, the amount of loss can be minimized, and any stricken facilities can be relocated, repaired, or replaced as quickly as possible.
*Essential Job Functions * • Coordinates the design, development, maintenance, and exercises (testing) of the overall disaster recovery plans for each critical functional area of the organization.
• Responsible for participating in any actual disaster recovery effort.
• Identifies and manages proactively potential risks and controls and mitigates the risks that impact the company’s ability to conduct business.
Partners with senior management to determine acceptable risk levels.
• Assists business units in business impact analysis.
Identifies critical business processes, establishing acceptable recovery time periods, expected losses and priorities.
• Develops enterprise-wide and business unit disaster recovery plans.
Coordinates efforts of business units in the development of recovery procedures for interdependent processes.
• Develops, tests, and maintains detailed emergency response, command, and controls procedures.
• Develops and conducts disaster recovery training for staff members in all functional areas.
Provides instructional and informational materials on how staff is expected to respond during an emergency.
Assists divisions in the assignment and training of staff.
Develops and maintains standards and procedures for disaster recovery documentation.
Maintains a library of recovery support and business resumption procedures.
• Coordinates bi-annual tests of current recovery processes inclusive of systems and crisis teams.
• Works closely with IT Leadership and the Infrastructure group to ensure secure business resumption, policy and procedure establishment, and maintenance.
• Works with IT Leadership to establish and implement method of ensuring that new equipment, facilities, processes, services, and systems are addressed from a disaster recovery perspective.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with recovery vendors and local/regional emergency response groups.
• In the event of an interruption in business, lead and support the disaster recovery efforts for the company, including establishment of the command center, the crisis communication plan and documenting the recovery process.
• Assists recovery support and business resumption staff during a disaster in the implementation of response and alternate operating strategies.
Acts as a coordinator during an emergency.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
*Position Required Qualifications* *Minimum Education and Experience* Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years’ experience in business continuity planning and execution.
ABCP or any similar or any equivalent industry experience.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Knowledge of key enterprise technologies such as Microsoft Windows and Office, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, Virtual Environments, ITIL, Help Desk applications, Firewalls, VPNs, Routing, and wireless process.
*Licenses, Training, and Certifications Required* Certification in Business Continuity.
*Preferred Qualifications* • Advanced knowledge of technical systems, patch management and device deployment.
Experience in financial services operations.
*Hybrid Work Environment and Physical Demands* • Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.
