Job Summary
Establish and direct a Quality Management System that ensures company products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.
Determine Quality key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish visual quality tracking board.
Develop “Total Cost of Quality” measurement and aid the organization in continuous improvement of these metrics.
Essential Job Functions \*
1.
Develop quality specifications for new products, and approve reliability test plans and results.
* Work with Engineering and Marketing to define product specifications and understand customer needs.
* Develop quality testing and inspection procedures for new parts and products to ensure consistent quality.
* Initiate and coordinate 5 Whys problem solving and process improvement activities.
* Work closely with the Manufacturing personnel to identify opportunities for improvement in processes.

Establish and communicate priorities for reliability, failure analysis, supplier quality, and manufacturing engineering efforts.
* Participate in weekly/scheduled meetings with the organization to provide quality information to the team.
Forwards new information on to the Quality organization.
* Maintain the Quality database to provide the information necessary to support the rest of the organization in quality improvement efforts.
3.
Receive and respond to requests from the Customer Service Group for assistance with quality issues identified in the field.
* Review the monthly reports from the field and make note of any quality issues identified.
* Respond to the field quality issues with corrective action.
* Communicate corrective actions back to the field service organization.
4.
Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
* Maintain a supplier quality database of supplier performance.
5.
OSHA AND CITY COMPLIANCE.
* Maintain city compliance records.
* Includes scheduling City and Fire appointments.
* Maintain OSHA safety records.
* Works with contract vendor in Safety audits and compliance.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
*Qualifications:*
* Five or more years of quality or manufacturing engineering.
* Three or more years of supervisor experience and quality leadership.
* Able to lead and motivate employees by guiding, training, and offering counsel.
* Extensive knowledge of quality principles.
* Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and Windows
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills (excellent math and statistical skills).
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
* Problem Solving- Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; evaluates and generates alternative solutions; makes recommendations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.
00 - $90,000.
