Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including food preparation, customer service, and kitchen management.
- Ensure high-quality food and service standards are met and maintained.
- Train and supervise staff members to ensure they are knowledgeable and efficient in their roles.
- Monitor inventory levels and control costs to maximize profitability.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update menu offerings.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing, payment transactions, and inventory management.
Skills:
- Food service management: Experience in managing a restaurant or food service establishment, including knowledge of industry best practices.
- Food handling: Proficient in safe food handling procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
- Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns.
- Food preparation: Knowledge of food preparation techniques, including cooking methods, portion control, and presentation.
- Kitchen management: Ability to oversee kitchen operations, including staff supervision, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.
- Aloha POS: Familiarity with Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale software for order processing, payment transactions, and reporting.
- Culinary: Basic understanding of culinary techniques and ingredients to collaborate with the culinary team on menu development.
- Assistant manager: Previous experience in an assistant manager role is preferred but not required.
- Inventory control: Ability to monitor inventory levels, track usage, and implement strategies for efficient inventory control.
