This pivotal leadership role requires a strategic thinker, adept people manager, and a visionary individual capable of driving operational excellence in HOA community management.
Duties and Responsibilities Provide support and direction to community managers in addition to identifying and managing client needs, proper implementation of City Property Management (CPM) tools/software and ensure we are meeting the contractual obligations and client expectations.
Maintain contact with board members and strive to maintain a high level of retention.
Attend annual meetings and other board meetings as needed to ensure visibility with client.
Monitor community manager performance and implementation of CPM tools.
Conduct meetings and required supervision with direct reports to review progress and expectations.
Develop and offer periodic board training.
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, mentor, and retain community manager staff.
Instruct managers on CPM’s company philosophy, culture, policies, and procedures, as well as state law.
Evaluate periodically to ensure alignment and uniformity and approach.
Facilitate and directly weekly Level 10 meetings with all direct reports.
Develop and schedule core task training to enhance skills and education in areas beneficial to the company and clients; prepare employees to assume more responsible positions within the company.
Oversee community manager’s work product for client through regular review of monthly financials, board packages and action lists, periodic review of contract specifications, violation reports and annual review of proposed community budgets and insurance specifications.
Possess a proactive approach to addressing manager’s weaknesses and develop plan of improvement.
Enhance visibility and prestige of the company as the highest quality community association management service provider.
Acquire and maintain industry-related certifications or designations.
Monitor and analyze impact of proposed legislation affecting company and client group’s contracts.
Participate in and have visibility at industry related events.
Serve on boards and committees Publish articles for company newsletters and client information pieces.
Skills Excellent people management skills with at least 2 years of people management experience.
Bachelor’s Degree or work experience equivalent Public speaking skills Ability to establish, nurture and maintain effective working relationships with clients, team members and vendors.
Ability to identify areas of improvement and implement processes for improvement.
Exceptional customer service skills and attitude.
Sound understanding of company mission, culture, philosophy, policies and procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Ability to multi-task.
Excellent listening skills.
Financial analysis and interpretation skills.
Computer and Information Systems literacy including managing outlook calendar and software systems.
Ability to maintain privileged confidential information Proactive leader with proven track record of exceeding client’s expectations.
Extensive experience in and knowledge of community associations, state and federal laws and governing documents.
Strong motivator and supervisor.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a senior (C-level) leadership role may be advantageous.
In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques.
Strong working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market.
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
